Between their 2003 debut full-length and their original disbandment after 2014’s Lowborn album, alternative rock band Anberlin forged one of the most exciting discographies of the new millennium. With musicianship that was diverse enough across each album to remain unique while maintaining and developing their immense songwriting skills, Anberlin had both commercial and critical success on their side.
Having emerged from their disbandment a few years ago, the band originally weren’t going to do much other than play some reunion shows – but considering how successful the release of 2021 single “Two Graves” was, there’s clearly plenty left to work with. Oh, and now there’s a new album on the way?
Apparently. While the band revealed they were working on new music a couple years back (and the 2021 single release happened), we now have what’s essentially confirmation of the band’s eighth full-length album. There’s obviously no timeline for this, but we’re stoked, and you should be too. Clearly there’s a lot of creative life in Anberlin’s well.
