AEW Dynamite – Episode 126 (03.02.2022) (Wrestling Review)

Singles Match
Bryan Danielson vs. Christopher Daniels

A really good match between two guys with a long history together. The story of the 20 year anniversary of the first ROH show where they main evented together worked well here. Even though we know Daniels had no chance of winning it was a good back and forth between the two.

AEW World Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Casino Tag Team Royale Match
Brock Anderson & Lee Johnson vs. 2point0 (Jeff Parker & Matt Lee) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (w/Brandon Cutler) vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) vs. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Bear Country (Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson) vs. The Butcher And The Blade (The Blade & The Butcher) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) vs. The Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) vs. The Inner Circle (Ortiz & Santana) vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) vs. The Dark Order (Alan Angels & Ten) vs. The Gunn Club (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) vs. The Wingmen (Peter Avalon & Ryan Nemeth)

This honestly went on way too long. At almost a half hour this match had a lot of down time and filling it felt. As it went on it got better with the final few guys left making it entertaining even though you figured out The Young Bucks weren’t going to lose at all.

2.5 / 5

Tag Team Match
Mercedes Martinez & Thunder Rosa vs. Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Jamie Hayter (w/Rebel)

A decent match that got a little sloppy and rough towards the end. Rosa pinning Britt was shocking given their PPV match coming up but this was just a small taste of their upcoming match.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Wardlow (w/Shawn Spears) vs. Cezar Bononi

Another Wardlow squash. Fans are completely behind him now too. Its slowly boiling to Wardlow turning on Spears and MJF.

.5 / 5

Six Man Tag Team Match
Adam Cole & reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. Adam Page & The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & John Silver)

A decent tag match to build up to Cole / Page. They followed tag rules more than a Bucks match would here and the action was good. Cole pinning a tag guy makes sense to stay undefeated going into the title match but also not have Hangman pinned.
