AEW Collision – Episode 19 (10.21.2023) Wrestling Review)

AEW

Collision

Memphis, Tennessee

Oct. 21st, 2023

Singles Match
Bryan Danielson vs. Andrade El Idolo

As expected this was a banger. No story or anything here and calling it a dream match may be a stretch but this was a great 20 minute back and forth even if you knew there was zero chance Andrade was winning.

Non Title Memphis Street Fight
Jeff Jarrett (w/Jay Lethal, Karen Jarrett, Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt) vs. Eddie Kingston

This was a fine brawl type match. The story with it including Kingston having no friends that come to save him works here.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Miro vs. Action Andretti

I don’t really care for the story here. Miro is mad at anyone trying to work with his wife but then he doesn’t even dominate a guy like Andretti who is doing nothing of importance.

2 / 5

Tag Team Match
Bad Thad Brown & Darian Bengston vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)

Squash just so House Of Black could come back.

AEW World Tag Team Title Match
Big Bill & Ricky Starks (c) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta)

This got a lot of time. Starks and Bill are good as a team and working out well. Yuta got the beat down here so Claudio could come in. House Of Black shouldn’t have come out earlier in the show to make their appearance here work but it’ll be leading into a big multi team match I’d bet.
