One of the best ways not to make friends in the music industry is unprofessional behavior. Generally speaking, this includes not being a jerk in an overall sense, dropping tours and festival dates with absolutely no warning or reasoning, etc.
Unfortunately, rapper Lil Xan did the latter on his current “Born Dead” headlining tour, which also features the likes of Dropout Kings, Saving Vice, and more. This leaves the rest of the tour in limbo. According to a social media post from Dropout Kings vocalist Adam Ramey, Lil Xan dropped off the tour with zero reason or notice, also not appearing for his set at So What?! Festival over the weekend. At this time, Lil Xan has not made any statement as to why this occurred, and it ruins what was a golden opportunity for rap, rock, and metal worlds to collide. It’s pretty clear that every act on the bill, minus Lil Xan, is very upset about the development – but the good news is that Dropout Kings are working to continue the tour as a headliner. We’ll keep you posted.
Don’t forget the other support bands like Saving Vice – an independent band who put their life savings into this tour and got screwed. We need to show them our support
