Promising metalcore upstarts Aphasia have been slowly making waves from their home base of Rochester, NY, with a sound that fits best in the modern metalcore mold. Not skimping on the technical aspect of metalcore, the band’s newest single, “Sinking”, dives into the reality that life is often unfair and unforgiving. The new single is off Aphasia’s new album, due out later this year.
Even better is that the band is celebrating the release of their upcoming album Rebirth (out this September) with a neat idea – their own special blend of coffee. It’s limited to 50, so don’t get caught napping.
As the band noted previously, “Lyrically, ‘Sinking’ is about both coping with and understanding the loss of a loved one,
seeing them in your memories when you are struggling to accept that they are no longer here, and wondering where they are now in the afterlife. Life can be brutal and this song serves as a reminder of both how unfair it is and how quickly it can be ripped away.”
