Motörhead set to release brand new live album and concert film

British heavy metal band Motörhead has announced the imminent release of a new archival live album and concert film titled Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin. The film is based around their live show in Germany’s capital city in 2012 during what was one of the defining tours of the band’s later years. The movie is officially released on 23 April 2021 on CD/DVD, digital formats, and classic vinyl for collectors.

The film set includes 15 songs and takes viewers through all of the signature moments from one of the most head-bangingly incredible shows Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell, and Mikkey Dee have ever put on. This includes hits like Ace of Spades, Overkill, and The Chase Is Better Than The Catch.

The show came in the heat of Motörhead’s Kings of the Road tour and culminated in decades of the trio playing together. The three had been jamming as Motörhead since 1995, and you can see and hear the chemistry between them as they pull off a mind-blowing performance that will make it pretty evident where the name Louder Than Noise came from.

Motörhead is recognised as one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time and played a massive role in bringing the genre to the mainstream in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their popularity has seen their influence slide into many industries outside of music.

For example, the British black comedy film Eat The Rich features no less than six Motörhead songs on its soundtrack, while Lemmy has also had a full documentary made about his life titled 49% Motherf**ker. 51% Son Of A B*tch.

There is a Motörhead video game released for various consoles and PC, and even an official slot game bearing the band’s name can be played at some of the best NJ casinos such as Virgin and Golden Nugget Casino.

Louder Than Noise is a fitting and excellent addition to the band’s merchandise portfolio and is a must get for anyone who likes the band, heavy metal, or even if you want to watch a kick-ass live show.

“Theirs was a line-up which had spent decades cracking sound barriers, bending ears and decimating lawns worldwide, consistently delivering the Motörgospel to hundreds of thousands of fans, and this line-up was Motörhead’s longest-serving by a considerable distance (Phil joined in 1984, Mikkey in 1992, and the band played as a trio from 1995 until the band’s final show in 2015),” reads the summary of the film on the band’s website.

The full tracklist of the live film is as follows:
I Know How to Die
Damage Case

Metropolis
Over the Top
Doctor Rock
String Theory
The Chase Is Better Than the Catch
Rock It
You Better Run
The One to Sing the Blues
