Though she’s recently gained accolades for bringing on a fiercer, more rock-inspired version of herself with a stunning cover of The Cranberries’ “Zombie”, Miley Cyrus has almost exclusively worked in pop music for most of her career. While her new album Plastic Hearts drops November 27th, it appears that rock fans may have a reason to pay attention to it.
In a recent tweet yesterday where she responded to a fan’s tweet, Miley apparently confirmed the direction Plastic Hearts is going in.
Fuck yes! Your wish is my command baby. ❤️ https://t.co/wJW6zqMNY4

Cyrus is also working on a Metallica covers album, so this probably won’t be the last time you hear about Miley examining with her rock influences. Regardless, if you thought her cover of “Zombie” showcased what Miley Cyrus might sound like if she fronted a rock band, hearing her go in this direction for a full album is even more exciting. After all, anything that opens up rock music to a wider audience is something to be excited about.
