Single Review: Light Up the Sky – “Bring It On”

images-1

Light Up the Sky has just released “Bring It On,” a shimmering explosion of glossy vocals, soaring power chord pop punk, heavy roars, and thunderous breakdowns.

From the first note, the incredible production is obvious on “Bring It On” The song fades into beautiful cleans reminiscent of Vic Fuentes’s early days, the vocalist wishing he had the courage to admit that he never has to be anyone other than himself.

Throughout the song, Light Up the Sky consistently maintains beautiful instrumentals. When playing pop punk power chords or picking clean interludes, the guitars are clean and ring clearly; once the breakdowns kick in, the distortion goes on, the vocals roar, and the rhythm section fires on all cylinders, providing a moment that will impress even the most stoic of post-hardcore purists.

“Bring It On” is in the uppermost echelon of first releases by a band. Light Up the Sky sounds like a seasoned band; “Bring It On” foreshadows a huge future for Light Up the Sky.
