Recent Artery Recordings signees Wildways (who hail from Russia) are releasing their debut for the label, Into The Wild, near the end of March – the 25th, to be exact. You can check out the Attila-esque video for “Faka Fake Yeah” below, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Vocalist Toli Wild stopped by to discuss 5 of his favorite albums that had a big impact on him. Check out his choices below, and be sure to let Toli know what you think!
Backstreet Boys – Backstreet’s Back
Oooops… hahah, yeah yeah yeah. That’s true. You know when you’re 5 years old, you don’t choose music, that’s all up on your sister. In Russia that time (98-2000) we didn’t have a lot of foreign music. I know that I listened that only because my sister had that fucking CD, but just realize it, I remember all songs and videos from that album more than 15 years after. And that was my first meeting with US music. So anyway I love it.
Linkin Park – Meteora
All the fucking way! This album just made myself, made my music taste, made me all. 1st alternative album in my life and probably I will never listen hard music without this one 1st!
The Used – The Used
Most inspirational album for me in my school years. This record, band, their tour videos, vans warped tour shows just taught me to live like a true dirty punk-rocker that time hahaha. I still remember all songs of that record and all lyrics as well.
Bring Me The Horizon – Count Your Blessings
When I’ve checked this album out for the 1st time, I was fucking scared about that sound. Haha, it sounded horrible and sooo loud and satanic for me that it was even disgusting. But, I felt in love with this kind of music 1 week later and listened to this record every time and everywhere! It was just a new word in my music taste and in my music cognition. It was my 1st heavy metal album!
The Amity Affliction – Let The Ocean Take Me
Fucking yes! Love these guys so much! Such inspiring lyrics and very honest music. They just fucked all music fashion and just do what they love. Still jamming this record all the time!
