Marilyn Manson sells out Chicago during limited run of 2024 headlining shows

Marilyn Manson returned to Chicago for the first time since 2018 and the controversial shock rocker sold out the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom and showed fans he was truly back.

Looking aside from all current issues with the singer, Manson who is currently on tour supporting Five Finger Death Punch, announced a limited run of headlining shows for 2024. No stranger to the Aragon Ballroom as he has played here before including in 1998 for his “Mechanical Animals” tour, fans were treated to a now clean and sober Manson who was entirely focused on the set.

With a backing band now including famous film soundtracker Tyler Bates, Code Oranges Reba Myers, and ex Rob Zombie bassist Piggy D. The band certainly breathes new life into Manson and Reba for one thing is constantly moving and head banging around with nonstop energy.

Giving fans a huge 17 song set that is certainly aiming to more die hard fans mixing some hits with deeper cuts (though missing some notable hits), Manson kicked off with the Heaven Upside Down single “We Know Where You Fucking Live” hitting some familiar strides along the way with classics like “The Beautiful People”, “The Dope Show”, and “Disposable Teens”.

Having seen Manson numerous times over the last 15 years this was by far the best I’ve seen him sound and hopefully he continues down that sober path. If things work out for him in the end with this new album I could see Manson in 2025 having an arena tour resurgence.

The Funeral Portrait kicked off the show with a great set of gothy punk rock and Russian deathcore act Slaughter To Prevail supported Manson as well.
