WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 “Perth” (02.24.2024) (Wrestling Review)

WWE

Elimination Chamber Perth

Perth, Australia

Feb. 24th, 2024

WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match
The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

No one expected a title change here and this felt like a raw match. This was all to get Hartwell in front of a home country crowd and it did just that.

WWE Women’s World Title #1 Contendership Elimination Chamber Match
Becky Lynch vs. Naomi vs. Liv Morgan vs. Bianca Belair vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Tiffany Stratton

This felt way longer than 32 minutes. It dragged in parts and the crowd wasn’t much behind certain women or choices here. Stratton looked like a star and Becky winning is just the safe but uninteresting bet.

WWE RAW Tag Team Title / WWE SmackDown Tag Team Title Match
The Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor) (w/Dominik Mysterio) (c) vs. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate)

Bate and Dunne as a team is good and the action here worked a lot. No one expected a title change and it could have been cut a little but this was a solid match. Nothing you wouldn’t see on TV though.

WWE World Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership Elimination Chamber Match
Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens vs. Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight vs. Logan Paul

Another chamber match that overstayed its welcome. Drew winning is fine but again, not interesting. Styles breaking in to continue a feud was whatever and Logan at least got the cocky heel part down here. The action was solid but it just sort of felt thrown together a lot of times here.

2 / 5

WWE Women’s World Title Match
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax

What an awful main event. Rhea was super limited with her moves with Nia here and instead we got Nia taking offense here which showed her weaknesses. This was not the main event of a major PPV. Rhea though was great as always.
