WWE Backlash 2023 (Wrestling Review)

A good opening match that the crowd was super behind. Iyo is looking like a star and Bianca is always good. Despite the bad run and Iyo landing on her face when Bianca dropped her this was good. I know the run in is leading to Damage CTRL breaking up but it could have not been used here and the match would have been better.

This was fine and what you’d expect. Seth carried it as Omos is severely limited in mobility still. A good finisher spot that you could see coming but it worked well.

Way shorter than expected. A PPV triple threat that never had time to do much and instead came off as something unimportant.

The crowd was red hot for this and it helped a ton. Rhea was never going to lose but Zelina got her offense in as the underdog and looked good. It was a good feel good match to have here.

A fantastic match that was nonstop action and everything you needed it to be. The crowd was beyond hot for Bad Bunny as he continues to prove that he isn’t putting anything but top effort into any match he has. A lot of big moves and weapon spots and the LWO and Judgement Day run ins worked great. Carlito and Savio Vega coming in was just added noise onto a crowd was beyond into this.

A very solid match here. The action was good but more so The Bloodline drama was the focus here.

A semi typical Brock match except for that he took a hit wrong and poured blood. The ending here was super anticlimactic and not sure how it helps Cody outside of saying he won.
