Wrestling legend and one half of Ring Of Honor’s Briscoe Brothers, Jay Briscoe (real name Jamin Pugh), has sadly passed away at the age of 38. The news was broken by many online including AEW owner Tony Khan.
Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.
Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We'll do whatever we can to support his family.
Rest In Peace Jamin— Tony Khan (@TonyKhan) January 18, 2023
The Briscoes will go down as one of tag team wrestling’s most decorated teams ever. With 13 reigns as Ring Of Honor tag champs, IWGP World Tag Champs, Impact Tag Champs, NWA Crockett Cup 2022 winners, and more titles from various promotions, the team was known for carving their own path and doing it all their way. Jay will be sorely missed by fans, fellow workers, and the industry as a whole.
