WCW – Spring Stampede 1994 (Wrestling Review)

WCW

Spring Stampede

Rosemont, IL

April 17th, 1994

Singles Match
Diamond Dallas Page (w/Diamond Doll) vs. Johnny B. Badd

DDP didn’t have a chance here but this did have its moments. For being 6 minutes long it was solid enough.

1.5 / 5

WCW World Television Title Match
Lord Steven Regal (w/Sir William) (c) vs. Flyin’ Brian

The time limit finish was a bit lame but this was a really good match. Very technical but had some good pacing to where it never got boring.

3 / 5

WCW World Tag Team Title Chicago Street Fight
The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) (c) vs. Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne

The crowd was super into this one. It had a lot of fun moments and some hard hits including a broken table being chucked right into someones head.

3 / 5

WCW United States Heavyweight Title Match
Steve Austin (w/Col. Robert Parker) (c) vs. The Great Muta

This went way too long for being so slow. The DQ finish too was awful here.

.75 / 5

WCW International World Heavyweight Title Match
Rick Rude (c) vs. Sting

Stings insane charisma and having the crowd held through Rudes prolonged heel moments here. Even with its bad parts and mistakes this ended up being fun.

3 / 5

Bunkhouse Match
Dustin Rhodes vs. Bunkhouse Buck (w/Col. Robert Parker)

Even with the half wacky finish this was a fun bloody brawl. Both guys bled a ton but Dustin really went all in. Crowd was into this and it kept the pace nicely throughout.

3.25 / 5

Singles Match
Vader (w/Harley Race) vs. The Boss

Good stiff back and forth match. Vader could have good matches with anyone of any size though.

3 / 5

WCW World Heavyweight Title Match
Ric Flair (c) vs. Ricky Steamboat

A phenomenal match. These two could have matches go on for days and never get old. Good in ring psychology and story going along with the change in the finish.

4.5 / 5
