Vicious Instinct Records announce new signing, Djinn-Ghul

Vicious Instinct Records is a label renowned in the underground metal scene for being home to the most brutal and punishing music the extreme metal genre has to offer. Expanding at an alarming rate, Vicious Instinct has amassed an impressive roster of artists who find themselves on the cutting edge, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable, and possible in the murky realms of death and black metal, cementing the label as one of the largest proprietors of sonic terror. Among the label’s most notable names are slamming deathgrind machine Crepitation, crushing New England deathcore outfit Wretched Tongues, the Ingested side project Mal, and many more, comes a new member to the Vicious Instinct Records misery index. Djinn-Ghul, a band with an exceptional reputation for being experimental in nature, yet familiar to the realms of what the label has been known to administer.

Founded in 2016 by instrumentalist Grant Nachbur of Nephrectomy, and vocalist Junior Patino of Rotten Vomit, the duo has released two full-length albums, and one EP completely independently. Having self-produced both their 2017 album Wander Not and 2019 EP Exo-Sin, the pair enlisted mixing/mastering engineer Andreas Landeck to bring their destructive sophomore release SORDES PYRAMIS to life. Djinn-Ghul shakes up the realm of brutal death metal/slam by implementing experimental usage of synthesizers and sampling, while still retaining the ping snare blast beats, unforgiving riffs, and menacing vocals that add the signature filth and gory imagery their respective genre is known to conjure. Recently, the duo fell onto the radar of Vicious Instinct Records, who were quick to pick them up and add them to their expanding roster. The signing was made official on April 28th, 2021 and the band has stated through their social media posts they are preparing to release new music in the coming months.
