The UK is dripping with some of the hottest rock and metal artists you need to know about. With bands like Loathe, Holding Absence, Employed To Serve, Conjurer, Lotus Eater, and so many more making inroads across the country and beyond, it’s no surprise that there are bands that could fly under the radar.
It’s with the endorsement of Loathe’s Eric Bickerstaffe that encouraged us to check out Merseyside metal newcomers God Complex, and their 2 singles to date – especially “Hate Runs Through Me” – are absolutely lethal doses of noisy, chaotic hardcore-tinged metal. Seriously, this band hits like a truck, a metaphorical shock to the system, if you will. Perhaps it’s the chaotic, frantic drumming. Maybe it’s the hard-hitting guitar riffs. Maybe it’s all of the above.
Needless to say, God Complex is on the top of our radar on the strength of just two singles. One wonder just how much hype this promising young metal band can garner from the British underground – and beyond.
so proud of my best friends in @godcomplexuk putting in their all and making their mark this early on without a full release behind them (yet…) i love them all dearly and implore you to follow the band on its socials to stay connected because you will love what is coming next
