Thanks to Ghost Cult Magazine, we’ve learned that Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy is leaving the band’s current headlining tour to be with his pregnant wife – who could give birth to twins at any moment. Thankfully the tour wasn’t cancelled, though – guitarist and Youtuber Jared Dines and Light The Torch frontman Howard Jones will be filling the void for the foreseeable future. A return to the tour hasn’t been ruled out, but needless to say fans attending the rest of the shows will be treated to a unique experience.
Speaking of which, you can watch Howard and Jared join Trivium on stage to perform “In Waves”, for a taste of what Trivium might look like without Matt Heafy.
