In news that surprised absolutely no one, The Weeknd’s new full-length, Beauty Behind The Madness, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Largely buoyed by massively popular singles like “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills”, the album beat out new albums from Halsey, Luke Bryan, and a host of other favorites.
The Weeknd (AKA Abel Tesfaye) has previously released 2013’s Kiss Land, and 3 highly successful mixtapes – House Of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes Of Silence – all hailed for their experimental, yet familiar R&B sounds.
Check out the album after the jump, and purchase it if you like it. It’s one of the best R&B records you’ll hear all year, even if it’s not quite as good as the aforementioned mixtapes.
