Nu-metal is alive and well. Just ask The Sight Of Impact and Dropout Kings, who are both experiencing success. While both bands definitely incorporate more of a metalcore style in their respective acts, they’ve also been around for a few years – and certainly are bearing the fruits of their work ethic. In fact, Dropout Kings in particular are a band that’s all about collaborating with others – an aesthetic that they share with hip-hop.
So it’s really no surprise that the two bands joined for a new song, “Ideal Life”. Sporting a melodic chorus that will definitely draw some new fans in, it’s yet another testament to the magic that can happen when rock and metal bands explore collaborations instead of how they can just tear others down.
