A series years in the making, My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s series The Umbrella Academy now has an exciting trailer that dropped just a few hours ago. The comic book series, which was picked up by Netflix for a series adaptation (instead of a full-featured movie), now has an official release date as well. Clearly, this is something with great production value.
The series officially premieres February 15th, and stars Ellen Page, Mary J. Blige, Tom Hopper, Cameron Britton, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Adam Godley – just to name a few of the more notable actors.
The official Netflix description is a tad sparse, but we’ll roll with it anyway. A dysfunctional family of superheroes comes together to solve the mystery of their father’s death, the threat of the apocalypse and more.
Feel free to get excited, folks.
