Dismissed by some as a mere gimmick around the time of their first couple EPs and even their first two full-length albums, Sleep Token’s sudden explosion in popularity at the beginning of this year is no accident. You can’t fake numbers, of course, and Sleep Token’s unique blend of genres have won them a legion of diverse fans. In fact, the added attention has forced them to have to upgrade to larger venues, accordingly.
Their new album Take Me Back To Eden has been out for just over a week now, and it appears that releasing half the album as pre-release singles paid off in spades for the band. In fact, the record debuted at a staggering #16 on the Billboard 200 in its first week of release, 1/3 of the album is already charting virally on Spotify’s USA Viral 50, and they’re set to play their biggest shows to date this year as well.
