The indie/acoustic project Spirit Houses will release a new EP, titled Two Passing Ships, on October 26th with the newly formed independent label Darkshore Music Group. Today, a new single “Nightmares Every Night” is now available for streaming.
““Nightmares Every Night” is about the death of a union between two people who desperately tried to make it work. It’s about facing depression and inner demons on your own. I wrote this song in the winter of 2018 in my apartment in Brooklyn during a super painful time. In between trips to the bar downstairs, I hashed out the record “Two Passing Ships” and it was my first attempt at a concept record.” – Mike Ireland
Known best as guitarist for revered punk band I Am The Avalanche, singer-songwriter Mike Ireland is the sole mastermind behind the project Spirit Houses. Throughout his time as current member of I Am The Avalanche, Mike forged this project in hopes to heal and mend some emotional wounds and dive into topics about some of the darkest experiences in his life through music.
Spirit Houses is supporting Vinnie Caruana and Brandon Reilly on a tour this fall and is releasing his upcoming album Two Passing Ships through Darkshore Music Group surrounding the tour, accompanied with an exclusive film that documents every song on the album into a visual story of the music.
