In the last week, Smite developers Hi-Rez Studios have rolled out their most recent update, which had an unexpected collaboration stored away. The musical legends that are Slipknot have teamed up with Smite to bring skins into the game! It’s not often we get to see musicians team up with game developers on this scale, let alone metal musicians. Each member of the band gets their own skin that is paired to a certain character inside the game. Smite is a third-person MOBA that initially released in 2014, in competition with League of Legends. The game is a hero (called gods in Smite’s case) based game with each having their own abilities. Smite has been able to find its own identity and fan base throughout the years and has remained a popular video game.
