Single Review: The Story So Far- “Navy Blue”

The-Story-So-Far-‘Songs-Of’-Acoustic-EP-Artwork-300x300

The pop punk band, The Story So Far (signed to Pure Noise Records) has released a new song, “Navy Blue”. If you’re like most of The Story So Far fans and you couldn’t stop listening to “Clairvoyant” when it was released in 2013, you will be pretty stoked to know that they’re putting out a 5 song acoustic EP and will be out on June 10th of 2014. You can preorder the EP here.

“Navy Blue” is as excellent as “Clairvoyant” if not better, and showcases the band’s ability in a less energetic way unlike the high energy pop punk sound that we are all accustomed to.  “Navy Blue” is absolutely beautiful and a very well written song. This song really brings out Parker Cannon’s vocals, which are stronger than ever before. This song has so many relatable lyrics, especially “If it’s something serious then hit me up, but until then the door is shut.” After hearing this song I can’t wait to here the EP in its entirety.

The vocals, the instrumentals, and the lyrics are breathtaking, that’s why I have to give “Navy Blue” a rating of a 9.5/10!

Listen to the song “Navy Blue” here.
