Rage Against The Machine, who exploded onto the music scene with their legendary self-titled debut album in 1992, have apparently played their final live show.
Brad Wilk revealed as such less than 24 hours ago, where he said that RATM would “not be touring or playing live again”. Specifically, the tour dates he’s talking about were part of their 2022 tour, where vocalist Zack De La Rocha played with a torn ACL (Philip Rivers style). That tour was part of Rage’s first live appearances in 11 years, playing venues like Madison Square Garden.

Of course, the band has notably broken up before, with extended hiatuses between any kind of activity or live shows. But this time, it does seem for real. Of course, their legacy is secure either way. Their self-titled debut album broke down barriers and rewrote the rules of rap-metal, also helping to provide the sonic template that would inspire many nu-metal bands.
