Photo Gallery: Minus The Bear’s “Planet Of Ice”

Minus the Bear celebrating their 10 year anniversary for Planet of Ice bringing a few nights of dancing to the Mayan in Los Angeles at the Observatory in Santa Ana.

Lights dimmed and the crowd went wild cheering, Alex Rose wasted no time hitting the iconic key intro to Burying Luck. Cory Murchy wasted no time captivating the crowd with his on stage presence, which brought an extreme energy from setting the groove with claps, to Jake Snider’s vocals and hyping newer drummer Joshua Sparks. Dave Knudso utilized all of stage available to him playing most his lead parts by tapping. Both nights had packed rooms, and energy for the whole night never died out during the 20 song set. In fact, it only seemed to get crazier during the second part of the set when the saxophone broke out.

It goes without saying that Minus The Bear’s “Planet Of Ice” is an essential math rock record, and 10 years later, it’s only increased in importance.
