Perennially underrated UK metalcore band Palm Reader have announced their disbandment after four full-length albums and 13 years together

If you’re any sort of a devoted van of post-hardcore/metalcore, the name Palm Reader is likely to ring a bell of some degree. One of the UK’s best-kept secrets, they just got off a handful of tour dates in support of Thrice – but unfortunately, that’s going to pretty much be it for Palm Reader, as they’ve announced their disbandment after four full-length albums and 13 years together. The band announced their breakup in a statement on social media.

If you haven’t listened to this underrated band, though, it’s time to get cracking. Albums like 2017’s Braille and 2015’s Beside The Ones You Love deliver some absolutely plastering post-hardcore/metalcore that’s filled with passion and verve, and none of their four full-length albums are anything but quality, either. What a special band. Thankfully, they are hitting a handful of farewell dates later this year.
