While the band hasn’t released an album since 2017’s solid After Laughter, nor have they played a show since 2018, Paramore’s Hayley Williams has given out an important update on what she might be up to in 2020. The vocalist took to Twitter yesterday in celebration of her 31st birthday , while simultaneously announcing something grand – new and fresh solo music coming in January 2020.

On Twitter, Hayley stated: “Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes. 30 was a very important year. 31 will be too. I’m putting out some music next year. With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own. It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January. Happy New Year, friends.”
While it’s unknown what the solo material might sound like for Hayley Williams, it’s really not that much of a surprise that she’d pursue this route. After all, Hayley doesn’t really “know what’s next” for Paramore – however, one can only hope what she has up her sleeve is inspired. Will it continue down the same stylistic rabbit hole as Paramore’s newer material, though?
