Paramore took six years to release their newest album This Is Why, and while the record has received all sorts of different reactions across the board, from a commercial perspective it seems the band is just as big as ever.
The album, which is the band’s second-shortest at 36 minutes long, ended up debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200. The only album that topped that? SZA’s album SOS, which is poised to become one of the biggest albums of the year despite being released back in December. A more introspective and sociopolitical commentary-esque album than their previous work, the record feels like a solid addition to the band’s expansive discography. Depending on who you ask, of course.
Billboard 200: #2(new) @paramore, This Is Why 64,000 [21.3 million on-demand streams | 47,000 pure sales].
