In 2004, when Pantera (and then-current Damageplan) guitarist Dimebag Darrell was cut down on stage by gunfire, people often wondered what would be done to prevent events like this from occuring. Well, it didn’t exactly stop. Dozens of people dying during an Eagles Of Death Metal show in Paris? Still, nothing. And now, with The Voice finalist Christina Grimmie being cut down in the prime of her life (while signing autographs, no less) and 50+ people being slaughtered at an Orlando nightclub 24 hours after Christina’s murder, what changes? I don’t have the answers, but I’ve seen some powerful statements released by many bands and musicians in the wake of this senseless violence.

Pantera posted a powerful photograph and issued a statement on their official Facebook page, regarding the aforementioned events. Check it out below, and show your support for both Christina and the victims at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Nobody should be cut down and slaughtered just for having a good time.
