Color us impressed by what UK post-hardcore band Pale are doing on their debut single, “Absence”. While the band certainly fits within the Dreambound scene (think atmospheric post-hardcore/alt-rock bands like Holding Absence, Parting Gift, etc.), they’ve already showed off some talent on day one. We think you’ll be pretty impressed, too, so give the song a spin below.
About the video for the new song, frontman Reece Banks explains, “The whole concept was to capture as much emotion as we could in a literal and metaphorical sense. This stemmed all the way from the drone-like ambience within the instrumental, down to the lyrical content and the imagery. The main goal is to connect with the listener and viewer, as what we write about is exactly the way that we feel, along with so many other people”.
