Of Mice And Men to reportedly release new music w/Aaron Pauley “very soon”

If you were paying attention yesterday, you’ll know that Of Mice And Men recently played their first show with Aaron Pauley as the sole vocalist, and fan reaction was surprisingly good. How hard is it to play bass, sing, and scream at the same time? If I can’t do it on Guitar Hero too well, it takes a gifted musician to be able to do that. Despite the departure of Austin Carlile, Aaron did a fine job during their set at Las Rageous.

Of particular note is some fans being so impressed, they’re already wondering when new music with only Aaron Pauley on vocals might come up. While their most recent album Cold World was released late last year, it’s clear that the band isn’t missing a beat with Pauley, so it’s only natural to wonder. That “wait” might be over sooner rather than later, if Aaron’s father’s comments are any indication.

A thread on Reddit surfaced yesterday, where a photo on an article New Transcendence posted showed singer Justin Kyle (former vocalist of Jamie’s Elsewhere that replaced Aaron originally) commenting back and forth with what appears to be his father, Randy Pauley. In the comment, Randy mentions new material with Aaron on sole vocals “very soon”. Fans of the band have to be relieved that Aaron is stepping up to the plate live, as well as apparently on new material. Stay tuned – we’ll keep you posted as this situation unfolds.
