Moodring (members of Attila, Culture Killer) will become your new addiction on debut single, “Show Me The Real You”

Talk about a way to start off a new project. Florida’s alt-rock newcomers Moodring have unveiled their debut single “Show Me The Real You”, and it flat out rocks. Comparisons to Deftones, Hum, Teenage Wrist, and other shoegazey alt-rock/alt-metal bands will undoubtedly abound, but either way you slice it the production here is great for an unknown band – fronted by Hunter Young, who also helmed the decidedly heavier Culture Killer and Silence.

Members of the band aren’t exactly unknown, either – with members of Attila and the underrated Cat Company, there’s experienced musicians here. “Show Me The Real You” is a startlingly good debut single off the band’s upcoming debut EP, out next month, and it’s got plenty of guitar crunch to match as well. And if it’s anything remotely close to the quality found here, the alt scene may well have found their new hype band. We’re certainly on board.
