Rock and metal musicians exploring hip-hop is nothing terribly new, but Canada’s Matt Zephyr is making it work. He’s spent almost a decade in various metalcore bands, and now he’s striking out on his own with a new song, “1 Minute”. The track also features American rapper Abstract, and it’s meant to address the opioid epidemic going on around the world. We’re stoked to bring you the new track, so give “1 Minute” a spin below.
Matt Zephyr is a Canadian rapper from Ottawa, Ontario. Having spent nearly a decade in the music industry as a metalcore vocalist, Matt has a unique perspective to writing music. This brand new release and music video also features American rapper Abstract! This song is a concept piece meant to address the Opioid epidemic that is happening all around the world.
