Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda wants to produce your music live on Twitch

Linkin Park/Fort Minor’s Mike Shinoda has been extremely busy over the last few years. When he’s not working on solo music, he’s usually found collaborating with the likes of blackbear and K.Flay, or most often, connecting with the community via daily Twitch streams.

Now, the multitalented musician wants to produce the music of fans live on Twitch, though there’s a few rules to do so.

“For 2021, I wanted to find a way to give back to my amazing community online. I’m looking for voclaists [sic], rappers, and songwriters who need help getting to the next level. If I find someone great, I’ll produce their track, live on my Twitch channel. There’s no formal contest, just an intention. The fans on Twitch will help me find the right vocalists. my only ‘rules’ are 1.) I’m not doing vocals, 2.) I’d like the artist to only contribute vocals and one instrument, nothing filled-out, just the ‘song,’ and 3.) no back-seat producing, the track has to be in my hands until I feel like I’m done. If you want to participate, go talk to the fans on Twitch.tv/OfficialMikeShinoda”

If you’re an interested fan, all you have to do is use the hashtag #ShinodaProduceMe.

It’s important to note that Shinoda has made a name for himself remixing other artists’ music recently – notably appearing on the new Deftones remix album Black Stallion, as well as a stellar remix of Foxing’s “Grand Paradise”. This could be a huge opportunity for some bright young talent.
