Korn’s influence in metal culture is undeniable. Even if you hated nu-metal and the legions of bands that Korn helped spawn with their 1994 self-titled debut album, they’ve created and recorded some of the most important metal songs of the last 25 years. Given that the band celebrated the 20th anniversary of their self-titled album with a tour, it’s not surprising that it looks very likely they’ll be celebrating 1998’s Follow The Leader, at least if a recent, breaking Twitter and Instagram post is any hint (it is).
The album, which launched the band into the metal mainstream, is one of their most revered. It also contains major hit singles in “Got The Life” and “Freak On A Leash”, and sold over 5 million copies in the USA alone.
