Being the “face” of any genre comes with its own set of challenges. Even for a genre as often criticized as deathcore may be, there are plenty of bands putting fresh spins on old tricks, and while calling Buried Above Ground the new face of deathcore might be a bit much, they’re turning heads with the recently released EP, The Crown. Their first national tour is a doozy, as they’re supporting Carnifex on the Chaos & Carnage tour, which will surely open some industry doors for the young band.
