Having just completed a European tour supporting Northlane, Erra, and joined by Ocean Grove, Tragic Hero Records progressive metalcore act Invent Animate are doing some huge things right now. And with a likely breakout in their upcoming third album on the way as well, the sky is truly the only limit for the band. And you could say the same about Northlane, who need little introduction at this point. Their surprise release of Mesmer earlier this year cements them as one of rock’s most forward-thinking acts right now.
Perhaps it was only fitting that IA vocalist Ben English joined Northlane on stage to perform “Dispossession”, off Northlane’s debut album Discoveries. It’s a true throwback for fans of the band that might miss their earlier material – though the band’s evolution has been one to behold, as well.
