Summer Slaughter 2014 was surely one of my favorite tours of 2014. Standing side stage and watching titans like Morbid Angel and Dying Fetus, to new blood like Fallujah and Boreworm was nothing short of awesome.
Besides the aforementioned bands, Within The Ruins is another band that’s full of highlights. Their newest album Phenomena is one of metal’s highlights of 2014 – and if you haven’t yet, you definitely should check it out.
Near the end of the day, I met up with vocalist Tim Goergen in a parking lot to discuss some “things”. And by things, I mean more about their new album, the fantastic cover art, and what it’s like playing with Morbid Angel every night. Check it out after the jump!
