Alternative/indie rockers Transit have a close-knit connection to their fans. It’s evident in the number of shows they play and how hard they work at their craft. It’s also pretty evident in that they don’t make the same record twice – which obviously threw fans off in 2013 when they released Young New England (hint: it wasn’t Listen And Forgive part II). That’s a real sign of maturity when a band doesn’t make the same record twice – it’s obviously a sign of continued musical growth and overall experience.
I had the chance to talk to Transit’s Joe Boynton at Warped Tour in St Pete, where we talked about Young New England, their new album Joyride, and ultimately staying true to who you are as a musician. This was one of the more informative interviews at Warped Tour, and even if you’re not familiar with the band, you’ll want to be after hearing Joe talk about his passions. Check out the interview after the jump.
