Former Cradle Of Filth guitarist Stuart Anstis, who was a member of the extreme metal band from 1995 to 1999 and was instrumental on the band’s pioneering album Dusk… And Her Embrace, has passed away at the age of 48. Former COF member Richard Shaw reported it on social media earlier today.
A member of the band from 1995 to 1999, Anstis contributed guitarwork on the band’s music that was released during those years, including 1996’s Dusk… And Her Embrace and 1998’s Cruelty And The Beast – two of the records that helped introduce Cradle Of Filth’s black and gothic metal sounds to the world. The latter was the last full-length to involve Anstis.
