When it comes to the deaths of major musicians, the usual trend is for anything done by said artist to skyrocket in value and listens almost overnight. Even more so when it’s the voice of a generation. Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington was that voice for many, and while future plans for the band aren’t known yet, we do now that now, every Linkin Park album (including the Collision Course EP with Jay-Z) is now on the Billboard Top 200.
In fact, 3 of those albums are in the top 11, including One More Light, Hybrid Theory, and Meteora, according to Forbes Magazine. Other album numbers are as follows.
No. 27 – Minutes to Midnight
No. 80 – Living Things
No. 116 – Collision Course (with Jay-Z)
No. 117 – A Thousand Suns
No. 184 – The Hunting Party
This further cements Chester Bennington and Linkin Park as one of the most prominent rock bands in the world. Regardless of how you feel about the band, it’s an undisputed fact that Linkin Park infiltrated almost every facet of popular culture, and maintained their relevance long after their peers had fallen by the wayside. There will never be another Chester. Your art will live forever.
