Diablo II: Resurrected remaster announced for all major gaming platforms, including next-gen systems

One of the worst-kept secrets in the gaming industry was officially revealed today at Blizzcon 2021, where Blizzard revealed that the beloved Diablo II – the 2000 action-RPG that became one of the biggest hits on PC of the new millennium – will see a remastered version out later this fall. The game will also include the Lord Of Destruction expansion as well. Diablo II Resurrected will also see the game hit all major platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and next-gen systems. Check out a trailer for the game below and feel free to get hyped.

As Eurogamer notes, it’ll feel almost exactly the same as the original, so whether you’re a pro at the game or are picking it up for the first time in years, you’ll likely feel familiar with its mechanics. All seven classes and all the memorable bosses are coming back as well, and you’ll be able to switch quite easily from the upgraded graphics to the classic, 2-D models with ease.
