Chino Moreno and Jason Aalon Butler are alike in many ways. Always being involved in multiple projects and crossing genres effortlessly, the two are a good fit for any touring lineup (why are we not funding this?) and would probably make a great collaboration.
Fans of both got a small taste of that at Spain’s Mad Cool Festival, which consequently had a pretty insane lineup overall. Butler joined Deftones on stage for a performance of their Around The Fur favorite, “Headup”. One of the most menacing Deftones songs in their early days, it helped to define the alternative metal genre at the time. Let’s be real, the two together is a match made in heaven.
Seriously, why are we not funding a Deftones + Fever 333 tour? Let’s make it happen.
