Decibel announces “20th Anniversary Show” featuring special sets by Autopsy, Immolation, Horrendous, and more

Decibel has announced they’ll be hosting a special 20th Anniversary show this summer on August 31st at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia. The show featuring several legends of death metal and extreme metal will feature special sets by most including the likes of Autopsy, Immolation, Horrendous, Crypt Sermon and more.

“Autopsy is revved up, bloodthirsty and ready to bring 100% horrific Death Metal to Decibel’s 20th anniversary bash in Philadelphia,” says drummer/vocalist Chris Reifert. “Come on out and go insane with us!”

Additionally, northeast death metal kings Immolation will perform a special “First 20 Years” set in honor of the magazine’s 20-year run; progressive death dealers Horrendous celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Ecdysis release with a special full-album performance; epic doom-bringers Crypt Sermon will perform their new record, The Stygian Rose, in its entirety; U.S. black metal progenitors Krieg will manifest ritual horror; Deathevokation will raise a chalice to old-school death metal; and Philly powerhouse grunge gods Rid of Me round out the bill.

‘We are proud to reveal an event that feels as momentous as our 20th anniversary itself,” says Decibel founder and editor in chief Albert Mudrian. “We’re eager to party in our hometown with some of our oldest and dearest friends. And, no, you’re not on the guest list.”
