To put it succinctly, Crystal Lake are one of Japan’s most F I R E musical exports. With an aggressive vocalist in Ryo Kinoshita who also has incredible range, as well as a rhythm section with awfully impressive drumwork, the band entered the worldwide consciousness with the release of their 2016 album True North. A full-length for SharpTone Records later, and the band has gained even more traction through a handful of high profile support tours.
That makes the band’s new song, “Curse”, even more impressive considering the songwriting pedigree Crystal Lake has to live up to. And much like their recent material, it sits comfortably in their wheelhouse – with a touch of melody for good measure. We think you’ll be highly impressed, whether you’re new to the band or a grizzled vet.
