While we know the band will be very busy in the next year with a huge, worldwide tour, Slipknot wasn’t expected to release a new song like they did on Halloween, either. “All Out Life” has already managed to capture the attention of the metal world, wondering what they’ll do next. The element of surprise is effective.
However, it appears there’s now a locked down date for both recording time, and a release date as well. In a recent Twitter exchange earlier this week, Corey Taylor revealed exactly when the band will be hitting the studio – and when the band’s next album will be released.
No no- 2019. That’s what I said. Recording in Jan. Album out middle of 2019.

It appears that Slipknot will be dropping even more new music in 2019, and while fans are surely clamoring for more music from the veteran metal act, the wait until 2019 should be worth it.
