Comeback Kid’s Andrew Neufeld joins Silverstein for the band’s “heaviest song ever”, “Die Alone”

Anytime a band says their new material is their “heaviest” to date, it mostly fails to deliver on that promise. Most of the time, anyway. When a veteran band like Silverstein says their new song is their “heaviest ever”, though, you tend to stand up and take notice. After all, the band’s roots are in punk and hardcore music, despite the band’s penchant for catchy choruses and melodic tilts. Having been around for a staggering 22 years now, Silverstein have obviously influenced many of post-hardcore’s biggest current acts. Yet they don’t seem to be slowing down at all – and their new song “Die Alone” delivers on their “heaviest song ever” promise, indeed.

Joined by Comeback Kid’s Andrew Neufeld, the song is a vicious punch to anyone who thought Silverstein were past their prime (for some reason). The track is culled from the band’s upcoming album, Misery Made Me, out in May – and if this song is any indication, it’s going to be one of Silverstein’s better albums to date.
