CIVIL YOUTH: ‘Being the Echoes’ Tour
Philadelphia’s rising star Civil Youth is on the road again, embarking on their sixth tour across the US. I had the chance to take some photos of their show here in Orlando, and was impressed with what I heard,
CIVIL YOUTH’S ORLANDO SHOW
Local bands from all over Orlando came out to support Civil Youth, each providing their own flair to the show. The first was the Orlando band known as Raising Cadence. With a fresh sound and an animated stage presence, these guys are on the right track to making something of themselves. I look forward to hearing what’s next and seeing what’s to come from this group.
The band that followed was one I’d heard of but never had the pleasure of seeing until now. A group knows as FELICITY took the stage and unquestionably crushed it. You may have caught FELICITY this past summer when they took the stage at Vans Warped Tour, or during their recent ‘Summer Meltdown Tour.’ This band is certainly making a name for itself in the punk scene, and with the talent have, are very deserving of the praise coming to them.
The last band is one I’ve been following for awhile, but never got the chance to experience them live. A Brilliant Lie took the stage final that night, wowing the crowd with their unique sound. I wish I had been able to see their whole set, but from what I did hear they were as brilliant in a live performance as I imagined they would be.
Finally, Civil Youth; this group turned heads recently, opening for bands such as Twenty One Pilots and AWOLNATION, and captivating fans with their energetic, live performance. I was amazed at the vibe they brought when they got up on stage. There was no short supply of energy in the room; there was plenty of jumping around, and action all throughout the venue. This band is going places fast, and I don’t expect them to slow down anytime soon.
