New Orleans metal band Cane Hill have caused quite a stir in recent years. A couple full-lengths and two adventurous EPs into their career, they’ve toured with just about everyone you can think of (Hellyeah, Warped Tour, major festivals), and managed to garner the attention of some of the biggest names in the music industry.
The band, who last released their Kill The Sun EP in early 2019, are back with a new single in “Kill Me”. The song follows up the band’s recent single, “Power Of The High”, and is their first material as an independent band.
Singer Elijah Witt explains the song’s relatable subject matter:
“I think if this year has taught me anything, it’s that this dreadful voice of negativity in my head is loudest when my life is quiet. Just like everyone else, my mental health has taken a steep decline this year, and giving life to that horrific voice was the easiest way for me to try and combat it. ‘Kill Me’ is what I feel in the parts of me I can ignore when life is normal.”
